The online NARA catalog has a different description than the one above from PI 168. Here is the current online catalog description:
This series consists of two volumes, which include the names of post offices in states and territories with the names of their respective contract stations and sub-stations listed, location of stations and sub-stations, date of order, date of establishment, allowances, changes in allowances, and remarks. These stations were usually in large cities or their suburbs, and were operated on a contract basis.
National Archives Identifier (NAID): 12166790
This Series was not found within the catalog. An Archivist said that it was made part of A1 367 which is titled RECORDS OF STATIONS, 1902-1905 (other title: RELATING TO CONTRACT STATIONS AND SUBSTATIONS).
If NAID 12166790 is the correct series for the original PI 168 Entry 81, how did it go from 53 ft. to two volumes?
This Series is not online.
