Day 10 of 31 Days to Better Genealogy is: Apply to a Lineage Society. Amy Johnson Crow talked about a few different reasons why you should join a lineage society but her #1 reason was that it forces you to review and really look at your research.
I think I’ve said almost those exact words when I finished my first lineage application to the First Families of Pennsylvania. You start to notice the places in which you don’t have good documentation to support dates and relationships.
Joining lineage societies has helped me become a better genealogist.
