Amy Johnson Crow has been sharing on her Generations Cafe Facebook Group a prompt each day for May. They are based off of her book 31 Days to Better Genealogy that you can buy on Amazon (shown below).
Day 11 of 31 Days to Better Genealogy is: Discover Location-Specific Collections on Ancestry and FamilySearch. Following Amy’s advice, I went to Ancestry and did a card catalog search for “Niagara.” I narrowed the filters to only show USA in the search results so that I was not looking at Niagara, Ontario.
There are 37 results for Niagara within the Ancestry catalog and they appear to all be for my area! One of the search results is: Historical sketch of St. Peter’s Church, Niagara Falls, N.Y. (https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/16669/)
This booklet is 16 pages long and was “Read at the Fiftieth Anniversary of the laying of the corner stone of the present Church Building” on Sunday, May 20, 1933 by Frederick L. Lovelace.
If anyone has family members that attended this church, they would certainly want to read through this historical sketch.
