For week 16 of 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks the theme was “Air.” My maternal Grandpa, Ivo Johnson, was a World War II Veteran where he was a parachuter. A copy of his obituary was shared with me that says: “A World War II veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, he served on gliders in the Battle of the Bulge and with the Army of Occupation in Germany.”
I have a box of Grandpa Ivo’s things which include letters from him to his mother during the war. I’d like to work on processing these items and putting them together for a photo book that I’d like to have printed.
