Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure to, virtually, get to know Cyndi Ingle, the creator of CyndisList.com. Cyndi started her list of genealogy links in 1996 and celebrated the site’s 25th anniversary March 2021.
How I got to meet Cyndi was by taking some courses by Cari Taplin, CG where Cyndi was a participant/teacher. Both Cyndi and Cari were so generous to allow me to hang out with them after the class was over to ask some questions about being a programming chair for local societies and as a speaker myself. They are great mentors to have!

Recently Cyndi helped me by filling in as a speaker for the Virtual Genealogical Association’s (VGA) Conference earlier this month. She spoke on how to use her website and it was such a good reminder to not forget this wonderful free resource that is available.
